BlueBonnets

Nana and I took pictures of Josie in the bluebonnets yesterday. It was very windy, but we got some cute pics. Josie LOVED the flowers and didn't want to leave when we are finished!

Bubbles and a Broom

So today we were out on the back porch playing with Josie's bubble machines. She loves to scream"BUBBLES!!" at me until we go outside and play:) She found the broom and dustpan, however, and they were just so much more fun than the bubbles!

Josie (just for fun)

Here are a few of my favorites Josie pics. We are going to have pictures taken in the bluebonnets tomorrow. I'll get those up soon.

Numero Uno

I have a number of friends who blog using this site and thought it would be an excellent way to keep loved ones abreast of the day to day activities of the Bettis clan. Actually... most likely I will only talk about Josie on here since that's what everyone really want to see anyway:)

Rodney is a teacher at O.D. Wyatt High School in Fort Worth. It's a challenge, but this is what Rodney was made for. He has such an amazing gift for connecting with young people. This year he is teaching Government and Economics, which means he gets to work with seniors. I think it has been much more pleasant for him than his past experiences with freshman and sophomores!

Josie is Little Miss Priss. She is so funny, and sweet, and sometimes stubborn as a mule! She has such a little sense of independence, which my mother tells me I had too...payback time:) I have so much fun with her every day, and she is growing up so fast! She has recently started saying "Tankoo, Mommy!" every time I hand her something! Too cute! She won't ever come when I call her, but at least she says Please and Thank You, right?:) Oh, the Terrible Twos!

We are staying pretty busy. Rodney and his buddy Jeremy have been working on the new fence in the backyard for most of the afternoon today. I have been doing the running back and forth to Lowes for supplies that were forgotten. (we're so organized!) Hopefully when all is said and done we will have a beautiful new backyard that we can relax in and the dogs will have a separate yard that they can destroy all to their little hearts content! Here are some pictures of the work in progress and I will post more once we finish the fence and landscaping. I am very excited to have a nice place for Josie to play!
